Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist to join an adult inpatient behavioral health unit on a locum basis. This is a fast-start opportunity with a supportive team and modern EMR system, providing high-quality psychiatric care in a safe hospital environment.
🏥 Practice Setting

Adult inpatient behavioral health unit – 30 beds per provider, split between 2 physicians

Total facility: 63 beds
-
Inpatient team: 3 physicians + 2 locum openings
-
Outpatient team: 5 physicians + 1 APP at full staffing
-
EMR: EPIC
-
Safety: 24/7 security, all staff trained in codes
-
Child patients only seen in crisis situations on weekend call, then transferred to adolescent facility
⏰ Schedule
-
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Call: 1:4 rotation
✅ Candidate Requirements

Board Certified Psychiatrist

Active New York medical license
-
ACLS certification
-
Clean background for quick credentialing

Must be available full-time

NPDB Self-Query report (within same month as submission)
