Locum Psychiatry Physician needed in Troy, NY!

Locum Psychiatrist (Adult Inpatient)

Seeking two Locum Psychiatrists to provide full-time coverage on the Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, starting as soon as credentialed. This role focuses primarily on adult inpatient psychiatry with limited pediatric exposure only during weekend crisis call.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Call: 1:4 rotation

• Start: As soon as credentialed

• Practice Setting: Adult inpatient behavioral health

Patient & Unit Details

• Adult inpatient unit with 30 beds shared between 2 physicians (approximately 15 patients per provider)

• Total inpatient capacity: 63 beds

• Inpatient team includes 3 full-time physicians plus 2 locum providers

• Outpatient department at full staffing includes 5 physicians and 1 APP

Clinical Scope

• Adult inpatient psychiatry

• Occasional pediatric evaluations only when on weekend crisis call; children are evaluated and transferred to an adolescent facility if admitted

Facility & Support

• EMR: Epic

• 24/7 hospital security; all staff participate in emergency codes

Credentialing & Onboarding

• Credentialing: As soon as possible

• Trinity Health does not reimburse application or credentialing fees

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified Psychiatrist

• Active New York medical license at time of submission

• ACLS certification

• Clean background to support expedited credentialing

• Full-time availability required

• Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the same month as presentation)
