Seeking Board-Certified Psychiatrists to provide coverage on their Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This is an excellent full-time locum opportunity within a well-supported, secure hospital environment using EPIC EMR.

🔹 Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call Rotation: 1:4
• Full-time availability required

🏥 Practice Details

• General Adult Behavioral Health Unit
  • 30-bed unit split between 2 physicians
  • Approx. 15 patients per provider
• Total inpatient beds: 63
• Inpatient team:
  • 3 current inpatient psychiatrists
  • 2 additional locum openings
• Outpatient team (fully staffed):
  • 5 physicians + 1 APP
• EMR: EPIC

🔐 Safety & Support

• 24/7 hospital security
• All staff participate in code responses
• Psychiatrist exposure to pediatric patients only occurs during crisis unit coverage on weekend call
  • Pediatric patients are evaluated and transferred to an adolescent facility if admission is required

⏳ Credentialing

• Expedited credentialing – clean background required
• Start as soon as credentialing is completed
  

✅ Submission Requirements (REQUIRED)

• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Active New York medical license at time of submission
• ACLS certification
  
• Clean background for rapid credentialing
• NPDB Self-Query
