Job Title: Onsite Psychiatrist

Position Type: Full-Time
Work Setting: Onsite Clinical Practice
Shift: Day Shift with On-Call Coverage
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive onsite psychiatric services in a multidisciplinary clinical setting. The psychiatrist will deliver high-quality mental health care that meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards and reflects best practices found in modern civilian medical facilities.
Services Provided
The psychiatrist will provide onsite psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to eligible patients in accordance with established clinical guidelines and organizational policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care (Approximately 95%)
Inpatient Psychiatry
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary mental health staff.
• Admit, diagnose, and manage psychiatric inpatients.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Provide timely clinical interventions and medication management.
• Complete discharge and transfer planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation.
Outpatient Psychiatry
• Evaluate new patient referrals with accompanying medical records.
• Provide care for patients with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Conduct electronic consultations and post-discharge follow-up visits.
• Ensure patients are seen within established access-to-care timeframes.
Clinic & Residential Care
• Provide psychiatric services in outpatient clinics and residential treatment programs.
• Maintain punctual onsite presence for all scheduled clinical sessions.
• Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff.
Licensure & Board Certification
Current, full, and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Candidates with any history of license restriction, suspension, revocation, denial, or surrender will not be considered.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications or equivalent.
• All required continuing medical education (CME) must be maintained and kept current.
