WE are looking to hire a psychiatrist in Hartford, CT!
Salary and Benefits:
- Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health and substance use disorders.
Provide medication management and psychotherapy.
Oversee an inpatient treatment unit.
Full support staff.
The psychiatrist completes admission psychiatric evaluations, heads the treatment team meetings, reviews and signs the clients’ treatment plans, writes physician orders, documents progress notes, and completes components of the discharge documentation.
Additional Duties (role-specific):
Improve quality of care within the program.
Conduct critical incident reviews.
Participate in risk management committees.
Context:
The “MPR Vertical” likely refers to a specific division within DMHAS, possibly focused on mental health, substance use, or related services.
