Amergis Locum Tenens aka Maxim has an immediate Locum Tenens Psychiatrist opening with the Iowa Department of Corrections at the Iowa Medical Classification Center in Coralville, IA.
Key Details:
- Start Date: ASAP (must clear Iowa state background)
- Duration: 6 months +
- Schedule:
• M-F 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• OR M-TH 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Open to part-time (3 consecutive days) - Patient Volume: ~10/day
- Bill Rate: $210/hour (1099)
- Requirements: IA license (or willing to apply), BLS, DEA, MD/DO, Board Certification preferred
- No call, no weekends, full support staff

Job Responsibilities
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Licensed as a Psychiatry Physician in Iowa (will consider candidates willing to apply)
Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred
1+ year of experience preferred
Current BLS and DEA
CPR, TB screening, health certificate as applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Working Hours
• M-F 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• OR M-TH 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Open to part-time (3 consecutive days)
