Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide psychiatric care for patients across a locked unit and a restrictive cottage setting
- Collaborate with a Nurse Practitioner to manage caseloads efficiently
- Maintain consistent, long-term patient relationships due to low admit and discharge rates (1-3 patients per month)
- Complete weekly notes for the first 8 weeks post-admission, then monthly notes thereafter
- Oversee guardianship processes and support holistic patient care
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team, including cross-coverage for other units
- Work with patient populations adjudicated as Permanently Incompetent to Stand Trial (PIST) and Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI)
Additional Information
- Experience in inpatient forensic settings is helpful but not required
- Must hold a valid Missouri license
