Position Summary

The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join its expanding behavioral health team in the New Haven area.

This full-time, permanent role offers an outpatient-focused schedule with limited call. You will work with a supportive team that includes psychiatric nurse practitioners, behavioral health therapists, and case managers. Providers benefit from a collaborative culture as well as the indirect academic exposure and clinical standards influenced by nearby Yale-affiliated programs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide evidence-based medication management

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care

  • Provide clinical guidance to behavioral health staff as needed

  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

  • Participate in team meetings, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current with psychiatric advancements

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Licensure: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry; eligibility for Connecticut licensure

  • Experience: Prior clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome
