Locums | Psychiatrist | No Call | St. Louis, MO (IMLC accepted) Why This Role

  • Stable weekday schedule with predictable hours and no call
  • High-volume inpatient psychiatry on a dedicated behavioral health unit
  • Long-term assignment January–August 2026 with 20–22 shifts per month
Assignment Details Start: January 1, 2026 End: August 31, 2026 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Weekend coverage: 1 weekend per month, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (30-minute unpaid lunch) Coverage type: Inpatient only, no call and no nights Setting: Adult inpatient psychiatry Patients per shift: Approximately 16–18 Unit size: 74 inpatient beds Admissions: Yes EMR: Epic Temporary privileges: Not available Clinical Details Inpatient psychiatric care for adult patients Diagnostic focus includes anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders Treatment responsibilities include pharmacotherapy and management of seclusion and restraint per hospital policy Familiarity required with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application No requirement for group therapy, family therapy, or ECT (ECT experience preferred but not required) Rounding on assigned patients only Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry; if Board Eligible, must obtain certification within 5 years of residency completion Active Missouri license or active IMLC BLS required Inpatient psychiatry experience required Epic experience required Availability for roughly 20–22 shifts per month January through August 2026 Local candidates preferred (no explicit local-only requirement) Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
