General Psychiatrist (MD/DO) - Independence, KS (New Grads Welcome!)

Job Type: Full-Time (On-site)

Schedule: 4-5 days per week (8-10 hour clinic days; No nights, weekends, or on-call)

Expected daily caseload: 15-20 patients, depending on schedule and role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated General Psychiatrist to provide high-quality, timely outpatient psychiatric services within a collaborative and patient-centered clinical environment. The provider will work under the direction of the Medical Director and support the agency's mission through effective evaluation, treatment, and documentation practices. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and other outpatient psychiatric services

• Maintain a minimum of 1000 hours of direct patient service annually

• Collaborate with nursing and clerical staff to support efficient clinic operations

• Complete accurate clinical documentation within required timelines

• Med management notes: Due by 9:00 AM the day after service

• Psychiatric evaluations: Due by the end of the 5th business day

• Deliver care that aligns with the CCBHC model and meets KPI performance standards

• Maintain positive relationships with patients and staff across all departments

• Support agency operations through collaboration with internal teams and external partners

• Demonstrate professionalism aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with active Kansas Medical License (required)

• Psychiatry specialty required

• New graduates welcome to apply

• Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle may be required
