About Vandalia Health and CAMC
Vandalia Health, in partnership with Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing Behavioral Medicine team in Charleston, WV.
CAMC is a regional leader in healthcare and education, serving as a major referral and teaching hospital for southern West Virginia. Our behavioral health department provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services, emphasizing evidence-based, compassionate, and collaborative care, and provides training to both general psychiatry and combined internal medicine-psychiatry residents.
Job Responsibilities
-work in thriving collegial multidisciplinary academic psychiatry department in major teaching hospital
• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients.
• Supervision of residents and medical students in psychiatry outpatient clinic
• Teaching (formal and bedside), scholarly work typical of academic physician faculty
• Academic advancement opportunities available
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with CAMC and regulatory standards.
• -shared on call responsibilities with other faculty supervising residents

Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN).
• Eligible for medical licensure in West Virginia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
