Assistant Program Director & Outpatient Psychiatry Physician Opening – Pacific Northwest Located in Corvallis, OR An exceptional opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to serve as Assistant Program Director and Outpatient Psychiatry Physician with a leading integrated healthcare organization. This full-time role combines clinical excellence with leadership and teaching, supporting psychiatry residents and medical students in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. About the Position -Hybrid schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with one required on-site day per week; remaining days may be telehealth or remote -Join a well-established, full-spectrum outpatient mental health program serving adults, adolescents, and families -2 nights per month of backup call to residents (shared between outpatient and inpatient teams; residents take first call) -34 patient contact hours per week considered full-time -Average of 12 patients per day -Visit types include initial psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and limited therapy -Opportunity to teach and mentor psychiatry residents and medical students within an academic setting -EPIC EMR for streamlined documentation and care coordination Qualifications -Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (new graduates encouraged to apply) -Oregon medical license (or eligibility to obtain) -BCLS certified -Experience managing patients with chronic health conditions preferred -Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills -Eligibility to work in the United States Compensation and Benefits -Competitive salary aligned with market standards -Starting bonus, relocation assistance, and student loan repayment funds -Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement -Malpractice coverage provided -CME allowance and paid professional development days -Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)–eligible employer About the Program -Provides individual, group, and family counseling for children, adolescents, and adults -Multidisciplinary team model with psychiatrists, therapists, and behavioral health professionals -Collaborative, evidence-based approach emphasizing education, wellness, and long-term mental health outcomes -Strong focus on training and mentorship through residency and medical education programs About the Community -Located in Corvallis, a vibrant university town in Oregon’s Willamette Valley -Easy access to the Oregon Coast, Cascade Mountains, and Portland -Outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, kayaking, and cycling -Family-friendly environment with top-rated schools and a strong sense of community -Consistently ranked among the best places to live in the U.S.
