We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a 260-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana, starting Jan 5, 2026. Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage a daily caseload of 10 to 14 patients, serving all age groups (approximately 70% adults, 30% younger patients)
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and handle new patient referrals
- Review patient histories and symptoms; perform Mental Status Exams
- Oversee medication management and develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and care plans
- Assess and respond to crisis situations, including suicide risk assessments
- Navigate multiple scenarios in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Utilize Smart Care EMR and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft programs
Additional Information
- Indiana medical license and board certification in Psychiatry required
- Must be comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Prior experience working with both adult and younger patient populations is preferred
- Team includes Psych NPs and Psychiatrists
