Unit Director for 30-Bed Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist Unit needed for a top academic hospital in Brooklyn. Monday through Friday hours, no weekends required, and an opportunity for moonlighting - extra pay! Employed position with competitive compensation plan and benefits (health, dental, vision, disability), retirement plan, expenses for license/dues/CME, generous PTO plan, paid medical malpractice including tail coverage.

Compensation : $310000 - $315000 Job ID : 33541

Job Function:

  • Treats adult patients in an inpatient setting on the hospital campus.
  • Oversee a 30-bed unit with 2 other attendings + 3 residents (10 patients each).
  • Interact with families to support systems to identify socioeconomic influences.
  • Interact with medical students and residents, must have prior experience in academic setting.
  • Monday through Friday hours, 1 evening shift a month of 4-8 pm (would only fall on a Mon-Fri and would NEVER be responsible for more than 12 of these a year, most people end up doing less and if you ever are asked to do 2 in a month wouldn't do the following month).

Job Requirements:

  • General Psychiatry residency training required.
  • Additional fellowships can be considered and will receive additional compensation.
  • Prior leadership experience in any setting required.
  • NYS license, DEA and Board Certification required.
