Job description Psychiatry Opening | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Position Type: Full-Time, Employed Setting: Inpatient – Senior Behavioral Health Unit (24 beds) About the Opportunity: Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our behavioral health team at a hospital-based Senior Behavioral Health Unit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team providing comprehensive psychiatric services to an adult and geriatric population. Position Highlights: Monday–Friday schedule with shared call rotation Inpatient-focused position with opportunities for outpatient collaboration Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and Telepsychiatry support Join an experienced, patient-centered behavioral health team Strong administrative and clinical support from hospital leadership Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers Provide therapeutic interventions and medication management Educate patients and families to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with hospital standards Qualifications: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Eligible for or currently holding a Pennsylvania medical license Strong interpersonal and clinical skills with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based care Geriatric psychiatry experience preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary with production bonus potential Sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement Comprehensive health insurance package Retirement plan: 401(k) with employer contribution CME allowance and paid time off for continuing education Paid malpractice insurance (including tail coverage) Supportive environment with opportunities for professional development About Philadelphia, PA: Philadelphia offers an exceptional quality of life, combining historic charm, cultural richness, and modern urban living.
