About the Opportunity
Hope Services in San Jose—Silicon Valley’s leading provider of services for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs—is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist (Adult and/or Child) to join our expanding outpatient program.
This role is ideal for a compassionate physician who values collaboration, flexibility, and meaningful impact.
Responsibilities

Perform psychiatric assessments and mental status examinations for developmentally disabled patients with co-occurring mental health disorders.

Provide medication management, treatment planning, and documentation per Santa Clara County Psychiatric Medical Guidelines.

Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary staff including medical directors, nurses, and clinicians for a client-centered approach.

Complete all clinical documentation and reporting requirements using the Avatar NX EMR.

Offer consultation and peer support to other psychiatrists and therapists.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide guidance to families and caregivers regarding diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (Adult and/or Child Psychiatry).

Active California Medical License and CA DEA.

Eligible for Medi-Cal/Medicare certification.

Must be available in-person at least 1 day/week (remaining hours may be telehealth).

Drive-in candidates preferred.

Must meet vaccination requirements (COVID-19 and Flu; exemptions considered).
