JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Psychiatrist
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Tigard, OR
• Service Setting: Outpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: November 22 – 29, 2025 and December 23, 2025 – January 5, 2026
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p
COVERAGE DATES
• November 22 – 29, 2025 (Thanksgiving week)
• December 23, 2025 – January 5, 2026 (Christmas and New Year coverage)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults and Adolescents
• Patient Volume/Census: PHP census approximately 7–8; total combined census between 13–18 across programs
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included as part of PHP oversight
• Phone Consults: Limited to patient management needs
• Case Mix: Eating disorders and mood/anxiety disorders
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: Outpatient capacity varies by program (8–25 patients)
• Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient clinical setup
• Specialty Backup Available: Behavioral health multidisciplinary team
• Support Staff Available: Therapists, nurses, and administrative support
• Reason for Coverage: Holiday coverage (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year weeks)
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Credentialing Timeline: Standard locum approval process through Discovery Behavioral Health
• Orientation: All hours billable; non-billable orientation not required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Oregon medical license
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• DEA: Active DEA required
• Certifications: BLS preferred
• Experience: Outpatient psychiatry and eating disorder treatment experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: Must be available for onsite and virtual program coverage; no remote-only option
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for PHP patients (adults and adolescents)
• Oversee treatment for eating disorders and mood/anxiety conditions
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff in a multidisciplinary setting
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in treatment planning
• Support three programs across Portland and Oregon virtual PHP platforms during holiday coverage
• Deliver consistent care aligned with Discovery Behavioral Health standards
