Alliance for Wellness is a well-established physician-founded and physician-led psychiatric group serving Southern California since 2010.
We are currently seeking a Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) Psychiatric Medical Director to join our diverse and seasoned group of Board-Certified Providers in supporting our partner facility, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, California.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership, administrative management, and quality oversight for psychiatric services within the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, make diagnoses, and provide direct patient care.
- Prescribe medications and oversee individualized treatment plans.
- Ensure coordination of mental health care across departments and with community stakeholders.
- Provide medical and administrative directions to psychiatry and nursing staff.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of psychiatrists and other medical providers.
- Develop and implement protocols, policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff, hospital departments, and organizational leadership.
- Participate in the planning and evaluation of mental health programs and conduct in-service training for staff.
Position Details and Qualifications:
- Will support Henry Mayo NewHall Hospital in Valencia, CA.
- Must have an MD or DO degree and be Board-Certified in Psychiatry.
- Must hold a current, unrestricted California medical license and valid DEA
- Minimum 3 years of experience are preferred, but motivated candidates with less years of experience will also be considered.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8AM to 5PM) and at least 1-2 weekends a month.
- Full-Time.
- Around $400K annual salary (production-based model, negotiable)
- 1099 Independent Contractor (may consider W-2)
