Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join its growing behavioral health team in Shelton, CT .

This full-time, permanent position offers a collegial practice environment, flexible scheduling, and a strong emphasis on integrated and coordinated patient care. The Psychiatrist will provide diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning in a setting that values compassion, communication, and excellence.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide ongoing medication management and supportive psychotherapy.

  • Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and primary care providers to ensure continuity of care.

  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Promote preventive mental health strategies and community wellness efforts.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

  • Licensure & Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.

  • Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred, but new graduates and residents are welcome to apply.
