Position Overview
Join the Behavioral Health team at a leading academic and county hospital serving the Denver metro area. This full-time Inpatient Psychiatry position offers a predictable weekday schedule, a supportive teaching environment, and the opportunity to work with a diverse, high-acuity adult patient population.
You’ll provide psychiatric care on a 12-bed adult inpatient unit, collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and participate in resident supervision within Denver Health’s highly respected academic system.
Position Highlights
• Monday–Friday schedule, 8a–5p – no call or weekends
• 6-month contract with potential to extend
• 12-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit
• Academic / teaching hospital setting – supervise psychiatry residents
• Multidisciplinary support staff: nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, and case management
• EMR: Epic
• County hospital environment with strong team collaboration and complex patient mix
Requirements
• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Active Colorado medical license (required)
• DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
• Comfortable working in an academic and high-acuity setting
• Strong communication and teaching skills
