TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist in Staten Island, NY with our client. In this full-time role, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment for adults with complex mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. You’ll collaborate with therapists and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while mentoring residents in a supportive, team-based outpatient environment. Proficiency in Meditech EMR is required for efficient documentation and care coordination.

Responsibilities as the Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist:
- Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, create individualized treatment plans, and manage follow-up medication appointments.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring safe and effective treatment outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with therapists, case managers, and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, high-quality outpatient care.
- Supervision & Teaching: Supervise residents, participate in didactic lectures, and contribute to clinical education and professional development.
- Patient Load & Documentation: Manage a caseload of patients daily and maintain accurate clinical records in Meditech EMR.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Training program required.
- Experience: 2+ years of outpatient or clinical psychiatry experience treating adults with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
- Licensure: Active medical license in the State of New York required.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (must achieve certification within five years of residency completion); BCLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Meditech EMR and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, team-oriented psychiatrist with excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.
