A well-regarded healthcare facility in Shelton, Connecticut, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join its behavioral health team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care in a collaborative and supportive environment that values quality, compassion, and work-life balance.
As a non-profit institution affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine and other academic partners, the facility offers a broad range of clinical services, including emergency care, advanced imaging, minimally invasive surgery, and behavioral health services.
- Open to newly trained graduates.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy for adult and/or geriatric patients.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers.
Participate in case reviews, treatment planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
Provide consultation support as needed for outpatient behavioral health services.
Uphold ethical standards and adhere to best clinical practices.
Position Requirements:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility to obtain.
Open to newly trained graduates.
