Psychiatrist – Locum Tenens | Inpatient | – Palmer, AK - $240-$260/hour

Assignment Overview:
A well known Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for inpatient locum tenens coverage in Palmer, Alaska. This position offers a flexible block schedule (7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off), a manageable caseload, and the opportunity to provide care in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Start Date: October 27, 2025
End Date: Ongoing
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours plus Call
Schedule Options:
• 7 days on / 7 days off
• 14 days on / 14 days off
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation:
• Pay Range: $240-$260 per hour
• Travel & Lodging: Provided (flight, hotel, rental car or mileage reimbursement)

Practice Details:
• Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry – 16-bed unit
• Trauma Level: III
• Average Census: 12 patients per day
• EMR: Cerner
• Support Staff: Multidisciplinary behavioral health team
• Patient Population: Adults (varied psychiatric presentations)

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Psychiatry (required)
• State License: Active Alaska license (required)
• Certifications: BLS
• Experience: Inpatient psychiatry preferred
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days
• COVID-19 & Flu Vaccines: Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
