Psychiatrist – Foundation Behavioral Health Services (Greater Nashua Area)

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team at Foundation Behavioral Health Services, serving the greater Nashua area. Our program offers a full continuum of comprehensive mental health care services.

In this Full-time Hospital-Based Position, you will play a key role in delivering Psychiatric care across multiple levels of service, including:

  • Inpatient psychiatric care
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Behavioral Health Emergency Services
  • Behavioral Health Consultation Services

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients admitted to the 18-bed inpatient unit.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, for patients across all levels of care.
• Collaborate with the treatment team, including therapists, nurses, case managers, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care for patients.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment through ongoing professional development.
• Performing all required clinical documentation pertaining to patient care, including the timely signing of medical records.
• Maintaining confidentiality of reported and recorded information in compliance with HIPPA standards.
• Participate in administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

MD/DO degree
Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
Active medical license in the state of NH (or working towards)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing psychiatric care in an inpatient or outpatient setting
Experience with evidence-based practices and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with EPIC EMR

Working Hours

Work Shift: 

Devoting at least thirty-six (36) hours per week to patient clinical time and four (4) hours per week to administrative time, except during periods of absence.
Participating in after-hours clinical on-call duties to provide 24/7 psychiatric coverage, as needed.
