Our client, a leading integrated health system committed to serving diverse communities, is hiring a Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatrist. Responsibilities
- Provide expert psychiatric evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults in outpatient settings.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team: including child and adolescent psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and clinical psychologists.
- Consult on acute psychiatric cases in inpatient and emergency settings, including collaboration with programs such as CPEP.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring residents and trainees as part of a new Psychiatry Residency Program launching in June 2025.
- Lead initiatives to develop and expand community outreach programs with partners in schools, colleges, and community organizations.
- Participate in educational activities and contribute to shaping the department’s strategic growth and community engagement.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) followed by completion of ACGME-accredited residency training in psychiatry.
- Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Board Certification or Eligibility from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in both Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Valid New York State medical license, DEA, and Medicaid registration.
- Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently with high levels of autonomy.
