We are seeking a Medical Director to lead our inpatient facility. The Medical Director directs the clinical programs of the organization according to the guidelines established for all staff physicians and mid-levels or individuals with similar training and board certification. Responsible for medical administration and supervision, fiscal management, creating and developing clinically sound, consumer-oriented services in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team
Essential Functions of the role:
• Collaborates with the CEO, CFO, COO, EVP as an integral part of the executive team.
• Provides leadership in all areas relating to clinical operations
• Responsible for recommending and implementing clinical policies and procedures
• Leads and directs medical staff and APRN's with responsibility for the administration
and coordination of hospital psychiatric services.
• Oversee and monitor the quality of the psychiatric care and medical care provided to all
hospitalized patients.
• Utilizes DSM-5 / ICD 10 terminology and concepts for diagnosis and treatment.
• Carries a case load of up to six (6) patients
• Provide psychiatric medical call for weekend and evenings in a monthly rotation with
other employed physicians
Education and experience requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited medical school and board-certified in adult or child
psychiatry.
• Program development, implementation, and leadership experience of no less than five
years in inpatient behavioral health services.
• License to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts.
• Active DEA #
• Active physician participant in applicable payor provider panels.
