Job description
We are seeking a Medical Director to lead our inpatient behavioral health hospital and oversee all clinical programs. This role is responsible for medical administration, supervision, fiscal management, and the development of clinically sound, patient-centered services in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an integral member of the executive team, collaborating with the CEO, CFO, COO, and EVP
- Provide leadership in all areas of clinical operations
- Recommend and implement clinical policies and procedures
- Direct and coordinate psychiatric services, including oversight of medical staff and APRNs
- Monitor and ensure the quality of psychiatric and medical care for all hospitalized patients
- Carry a small caseload (up to 6 patients)
- Participate in weekend and evening call rotation with other employed physicians
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school; Board Certified in Adult or Child Psychiatry
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in inpatient behavioral health services
- Licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts
- Active DEA registration
- Experience in program development and implementation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
