Psychiatry Physician Locums in Texas - Weekdays Only
Correctional psychiatry opportunities available across Texas with no call, no weekends, and the option for 4x10s at select sites.
Highlights
- No call and no weekends - Monday to Friday only
- Full-time 40 hour weeks - 4x10s available (not in Richmond or Austin)
- Open to IMLC Psychiatrists
- Long-term assignment - must be open to locum to perm
Practice Setting
- Male-only correctional facilities
- Mix of telepsych and in-person roles (tele is onsite only)
- Psychiatric mid-level support onsite
- G1 and G2 custody level populations
Schedule
- Weekday coverage only - flexible shift start times
- Full-time only - part-time not accepted
- Early 2026 starts available - multiple sites
Cases and Procedures
- Psych, neuro, and physical exams
- Medication management and due process evals
- No forensic experience required, but helpful
Requirements
- Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Active Texas license or IMLC LOQ
- BLS, DEA, and clean background required
- Must be willing to consider permanent conversion
