Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Adult and Child Psychiatry Physician to join our compassionate Behavioral Health team. This role is ideal for a skilled and thoughtful provider with a passion for serving patients across the lifespan, from children to adults. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing treatment plans, prescribing medication, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary mental health team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Patient Care & Treatment

  • Provide expert psychiatric care for adult and pediatric mental health conditions
  • Conduct evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management
  • Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and primary care teams
  • Maintain EMR documentation in a timely and thorough manner
  • Contribute to holistic care that emphasizes dignity and long-term wellness

Collaborative Teamwork

  • Participate in integrated care initiatives with other RRH departments
  • Leverage support from case managers, RNs, and administrative staff
  • Join a team that values compassionate communication and teamwork
  • Help advance Behavioral Health access in a rural community setting

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Active California medical license or ability to obtain
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Experience in rural or community mental health settings is a plus
