Job description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our growing inpatient psychiatry team in Muskegon, Michigan. Position Overview:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult inpatients within a dedicated behavioral health unit.
Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Work closely with Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, social workers, case managers, and other specialists.
Participate in daily clinical rounds and interdisciplinary team discussions.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Participate in rotating weekend call coverage (1:4 schedule).
Engage in teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and fellows.
Optional opportunities for outpatient care, leadership, or research depending on interests.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Built-in flexibility to support provider work-life balance
Optional additional shifts available for extra compensation
1:4 weekend call rotation

Requirement:
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry (must become certified within 2 years of eligibility)
Medical license in the state of Michigan (or ability to obtain by employment start date)
DEA license
Current BLS certification and willingness to maintain
Open to both new graduates and experienced providers
Note: Candidates must not have lapsed board certification status and cannot be considered for locum tenens.
