Psychiatry Medical Director in OK

Central OK - Oklahoma City metro

Psychiatry Medical Director for an outpatient behavioral health facility, with a URC which that requires some oversight and coverage support.

They are looking for a leader who is compassionate, collaborative, and committed to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care

  • URC setting allows individuals 18+ to de-escalate from a crisis state in a safe therapeutic environment.
    • With a goal of resolving the immediate crisis and stabilizing at the lowest level possible, services may also include meals/showers, detox screening, case management/peer services, and emergency medication.
    • The URC is located in the Recovery Center and is staffed 24/7/365 with a multidisciplinary team of a prescriber, nurse, licensed behavioral health practitioner, and peers with lived experience similar to the population served.
  • The URC currently has 8 chairs.
  • The prescriber and APRNs share week-long rotations of 24/7 coverage. This includes morning follow up via iPad (doesn’t take more than 20 minutes), available for crisis support if needed.
    • 700.00 / week for coverage
  • 2 APRNs on staff
  • 15-20 patients / day - appointments are 30 minutes, follow ups are 15 minutes.
  • EMR: ECHO Vantage


Additional Info:

  • Must be willing and able to prescribe Suboxone. This is crucial since there is a MAT team.
  • Must be willing to prescribe some controlled substances. There is not much, but there are cases where a patient may require them on a short-term basis.

Schedule:
  • 9am-5pm plus one Saturday / month
  • 1550.00 for Saturday coverage

    • plus 18,600 annually for Saturday rotation
