Outpatient Behavioral Health – Medical Director/Prescriber

  • Join a mission-driven outpatient behavioral health facility that combines compassionate care with innovative approaches to mental health and substance use treatment. This role also provides oversight of an Urgent Recovery Center (URC) – a crisis stabilization unit offering immediate assessment and short-term intensive support for individuals in crisis.

Practice Highlights

  • Outpatient behavioral health with additional oversight of an Urgent Recovery Center (stabilization, crisis care, detox screening, case management, emergency meds, meals/showers).
  • Collaborative team: 2 APRNs currently on staff; this role will replace the outgoing long-term Medical Director.
  • On-Call Support: Shared weekly rotation among prescribers and APRNs.
    • Morning check-in via iPad (~20 minutes).
    • $700 weekly stipend for on-call coverage.
  • Patient Volume: 15–20 per day.
    • New visits: ~30 minutes | Follow-ups: ~15 minutes.
  • Must be willing/able to prescribe Suboxone (MAT program) and some controlled substances as clinically appropriate.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm + one Saturday per month (extra $1,550 per Saturday).
