Job description
We are actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our compassionate and multidisciplinary Inpatient Psychiatry team in Muskegon, MI. This full-time opportunity offers a stable weekday schedule, rotating weekend call, academic engagement, and the chance to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment committed to holistic mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit

Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in collaboration with a fully staffed care team

Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and patient care discussions

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in an academic-affiliated setting

Optional: Pick up additional shifts for extra compensation; explore research, outpatient work, or leadership roles based on interest and departmental needs
Schedule & Call:
-
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Weekend call coverage on a 1:4 rotating schedule

Flexible scheduling based on provider needs
Requirements:
-
Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible in Psychiatry (Board Certification required within 2 years of eligibility)

Valid Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

DEA license – Required
-
BLS certification – Required and must be maintained

Open to new graduates and experienced providers

Note: Candidates with lapsed Board Certification or seeking Locums work will not be considered
