A permanent, full-time opportunity for a BC/BE Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care in a 90-bed behavioral health hospital. The role involves treating patients across all age groups suffering from mental health illnesses and substance use disorders. The position is 100% onsite (no telehealth) and offers a collaborative, team-based environment with support from advanced practice providers.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage a caseload of approximately 18 patients per day.
• Collaborate with a team of psychiatrists and advanced practice providers.
• Treat a wide range of conditions including anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, eating disorders, personality disorders, developmental disorders, and psychotic disorders.
• Utilize EMR (WellSky) for documentation.
• Participate in involuntary commitments and pharmacotherapy management.
Qualifications
• Delaware medical license (or willingness to obtain) – REQUIRED.
• DEA and CSR/CDS certification (must be obtained prior to start) – REQUIRED.
• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) – REQUIRED.
• Commitment to permanent employment (not accepting locums).
Working Hours
• No weekends, no call.
