Psychology Faculty opening in West Virginia

Overview:
- School of Medicine and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry seek a Psychologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor)
- Hospital is a 200-bed, fully-accredited state psychiatric hospital and winner of an APA State/University collaboration award
- While the facility is operated by the State Department of Health and Human Resources, our professional staff (psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers) is employed as faculty members of the School of Medicine, hired through the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry
- The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based treatment for adults with a range of psychiatric diagnoses, including those with forensic involvement
- The successful candidate will collaborate with psychiatrists, clinical social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a PhD or PsyD degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state psychology license
- Successful candidate must have completed APA/CPA accredited clinical psychology graduate program, with an APA/CPA accredited internship
- Applicants must be eligible to sit for ABPP in clinical psychology. Immediate eligibility for licensure in West Virginia is required
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
