Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services at an outpatient facility in Oroville/Chico Area, California. The psychiatrist will conduct on site psychiatric evaluations and provide direct psychiatric care and treatment for patients with complex and difficult disorders necessitating behavioral health clinical intervention.

Requirements:

- Valid US driver's license upon date of application. Must obtain California driver's license following hire date per California DMV regulations Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric treatment protocols and community mental health systems.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Interest or experience in clinical teaching, program development, and resident supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing medication management and psychotherapy as needed.
- Perform crisis intervention, including prescribing and administering emergency medications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support services.
- Evaluate patients for voluntary/involuntary commitment and complete required documentation.
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Support continuity of care for patients engaged in day treatment and substance use programs.
- Any other duties as assigned.
