We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our team and provide coverage in our adult inpatient psychiatry unit. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive setting with flexible scheduling options and excellent staff support.
Location:North Dakota
Position Details:
- Setting: Adult Inpatient Psychiatry
- Schedule: Flexible – one week on/one week off OR two weeks on/two weeks off
- Shift: 8a–5p with night call (5p–8a); one weekend of 24-hour call per month
- Pay Rate: $260/hour
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Job Responsibilities
Daily rounding on adult psychiatry unit
Attending multidisciplinary team meetings
Family/natural support communication
Psychiatric consults on inpatient units
Documentation via Epic EMR
👥 Support Staff:
RNs, Mental Health Techs, OT & OTA, Social Workers
On-site Adolescent Psychiatrist
Unit Manager & Director
Office conveniently located on the unit
🔍 Case Info:
Admissions/Day: 2–4 (avg.)
Patient Load: Goal of 12–18
Case Types: Suicidal ideation, aggression, behavioral health disorders
Qualifications
ND State License or IMLC (LOQ in hand)
Adult Psychiatry Residency
BLS & DEA certification
