Position Overview:
Patient Care and Documentation:
We are currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatry for exciting Locum opportunity in MO.
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, start time may be 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m.

Position Overview:
Patient Care and Documentation:
Manage a caseload of approximately 40 patients across two wards.
Complete psychiatric evaluations and documentation including:
Monthly summary notes
Annual evaluations
Admission and discharge summaries
As-needed clinical documentation
Provide diagnosis and treatment for psychiatric disorders, including medication management, therapy referrals, and consultations.
Population Served:
Treat individuals under legal statuses including NGRI, PIST, VBG, SVP, and those transitioning between statuses.
Most common diagnoses include Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Substance Abuse, and Paraphilic Disorders.
Participate in and/or perform evaluations for guardianship, conditional/unconditional release, and provide court testimony as required.
Attend and actively participate in weekly interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, which include nursing, psychology, social work, pharmacy, recreation, primary care, and dietary staff.
Collaborate with other medical and psychiatric staff on complex case planning and crisis interventions.
Administrative and Leadership Duties (as credentialed):
Provide supervision to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and oversee psychiatric services as needed.
Participate in treatment planning processes including initial and comprehensive multidisciplinary plans.
Facilitate or co-lead group, individual, or family therapy, behavior therapy, and substance abuse treatment.
Attend required medical staff meetings (approx. 6/year) and participate in special staffing's or case consultations.
Serve as Psychiatric Officer of the Day (OD) 2–4 times per week during weekday shifts (7am–12pm or 12pm–5pm).
