Attending Psychiatrist | Mesa, AZ Greater Phoenix Area — Not-for-Profit Faculty Practice Salary range: $262,500-$278,500 ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Setting: Outpatient — new facility co-located with FQHC, pharmacy, and Family Learning Center * Schedule: 40 hours/week — 4x10-hour days or 5x8-hour days * Call: Not specified * Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist or Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as lead psychiatrist for an outpatient team specializing in first episode psychosis in young adults (typically ages 18–25): * Team of approximately 90 patients served by a multidisciplinary group including clinical coordinator, nurse, medical assistant, recovery coach/therapist, team specialists providing case management, peer support specialist, education/employment specialist, and 2 administrative staff * Trained in the OnTrackNY model — focus on recovery, shared decision making, patient education, family support, and reducing stigma around psychosis and schizophrenia * PGY3 and PGY4 adult psychiatry residents, F2 CAP Fellows, and medical students rotate through the clinic — teaching is a strong component of the role * Faculty appointment available (for eligible candidates) at two Phoenix medical schools * Involvement in resident and medical student education * Open to Adult Psychiatry or CAP trained psychiatrists ## Compensation & Benefits * Very competitive compensation package * 4 weeks paid time off * 10 paid holidays * 1 week CME with $4,000 annual CME allowance * Retirement plan * Employer-paid malpractice coverage * Full benefits package ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or in process of Board Certification in Psychiatry * Adult Psychiatry or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry training accepted * Active Arizona medical license required prior to start * Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring residents and medical students ## About the Organization * Not-for-profit faculty practice plan owned and operated by physicians * 400+ providers representing all major medical and surgical specialties * Phoenix area's only public teaching health system * Established in 1877, serving the people of Maricopa County and Arizona * Governed by a publicly elected Board of Directors focused on exceptional care for all ## About the Community – Mesa, Arizona * One of the largest cities in the United States — vibrant and rapidly growing * Part of the greater Phoenix metro area with world-class dining, arts, sports, and entertainment * Over 300 days of sunshine per year * Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, and exploring the Sonoran Desert * Excellent schools and diverse, family-friendly neighborhoods * Major international airport with extensive direct flight connections * Affordable cost of living relative to other major metro areas
