We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to take on a senior leadership role within a large, mission-driven behavioral health organization. This newly created position is designed to enhance psychiatric services for youth and adolescents across multiple programs, with a focus on innovation, clinical excellence, and integrated care.

The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of youth mental health services in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to psychiatric providers, therapists, and program leaders working with youth and broader populations.
  • Supervise psychiatry residents and advanced practice providers, including documentation and prescription review.
  • Lead treatment planning and case consultations for high-risk youth populations, including those involved in legal systems, foster care, or experiencing complex trauma.
  • Participate in agency-wide clinical supervision sessions and high-risk case review committees.
  • Conduct chart reviews to support quality improvement and clinical best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical protocols, policies, and youth-focused care models.
  • Support administrative initiatives such as program pilots, quality improvement projects, and service expansion.
  • Provide temporary clinical coverage and medication management support as needed.
  • Deliver psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for children and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care.
  • Utilize telepsychiatry platforms as appropriate for service delivery and supervision.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO with active New York State medical license.
  • Board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry required.
  • Extensive experience in youth psychiatry, particularly in community-based or outpatient settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor psychiatric trainees and early-career providers.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, substance use treatment, and multisystem youth challenges.
  • Passion for improving access to youth mental health services.
  • Experience in policy development, research, or quality improvement in child psychiatry.
