We are currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible for Locum opportunity in Davenport, IA
Start Date: As soon as credentialed! Schedule: PRN Support; M-F or 7 days a week; 8a-5p
Position Overview:
Patient Contact Hours: 8a-5p
Shifts per month: Varied
Clinic Days: M-F or 7 days a week
Shift Length: 8 hours
On Call: Every 3rd day 8a-5p
Inpatient Responsibilities: Yes, at Mercy One Genesis - West (Inpatient BH) and East (consults)
Number of Physician: 3
Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 10
Supervision of APP expected: Yes
Physician Nurse Ratio: Varies
Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
Clinic Provider Daily Volume: Up to 36 inpatients (28 adult, 8 adolescent) for 3 providers
Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 26
Demographics: Adolescents (8-17) and adults
EMR: Cerner
Teaching Opportunity: Family medicine residents January thru June. Nursing students and OT students.
Service offered in the practice:
Inpatient hospitalization
medication management
individual and group therapy
recreational therapy
discharge planning
Round on a 28-bed adult unit and a 8 bed adolescent unit (ages 8-17);
supervise two APPs including reviewing/co-signing orders, documentation, etc. On call every 1:3 during the day (8a-5p).
When on call, see consults on the medical units at Genesis East
Requirements:
Board Certified in Psychiatry - REQUIRED (can accept Board Eligible)
IA license or IMLC - REQUIRED
Fellowship Trained in Psychiatry - REQUIRED
