Adelphi is seeking experienced Psychiatrists to provide comprehensive psychiatric services to adult offenders in the custody of a correctional facility in North Carolina. Positions are available for both telepsychiatry and on-site coverage at select male and female correctional facilities. Providers will work as part of an interdisciplinary team delivering care in accordance with established policies, community standards of practice, and correctional mental health guidelines.

Requirements:
• NC License
• BE/BC
• Completed an ACGME or Osteopathic approved training program in psychiatry
• DEA certification
• BLS/ACLS certification
• Prior experience in correctional, forensic, or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medication.
• Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Accept obligations of scheduled assignments and perform all other duties as requested by the facility.
