Job Type: Contract (13 weeks minimum), with potential for permanent role
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
No On-Call Duties | No Nights | No Weekends
Job Description: We are seeking a certified Adult Psychiatrist who is comfortable treating children and adolescents. The practice is evenly split between pediatric and adult patients (50/50). The physician will work in an outpatient general behavioral health setting, treating both pediatric and adult patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 30-minute evaluations for new patients (Behavioral Health Assessment will be completed prior to the appointment).
- Provide 15-minute follow-up appointments.
- Oversee Nurse Practitioners (NPs) at the Warner Robbins location.
- Act as a collaborator for two NPs: one specializing in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and the other in general outpatient behavioral health and covering the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) as needed.
- Utilize telehealth systems to provide care to patients at three additional sites.
Requirements:
- Certification in Adult Psychiatry.
- Experience and comfort in treating children and adolescents.
- Ability to oversee and collaborate with NPs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
