The Salem VA Medical Center is seeking a Psychiatrist who possess the energy, compassion, and commitment to serve those who serve our Country. You will be given a chance to make a meaningful and personal contribution to the lives of truly special and deserving people - our Veterans!The Salem VA Medical Center has an opening for an outpatient/inpatient psychiatrist. On call duties in Salem would be about 1 in 20 day), and this is mostly from home with a PA or resident in-house. This half-time outpatient and half-time inpatient position includes the assessment and treatment of general adult mental health patients to include psychopharmacology. The ability to prescribe clozapine and/or Suboxone is a plus, but not required.DutiesWe are expected to deliver high quality patient care that is timely, patient-centered, recovery oriented as appropriate, and based on the best available research evidence and practice guidelines.
