Job Opportunity: Inpatient Psychiatrist in Georgetown, DE
Join an esteemed facility dedicated to mental health care in historic Georgetown, Delaware. This vibrant town is known for its rich history and close-knit community atmosphere. The facility offers a supportive work environment and is in search of an Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive care during weekdays. This position promises no weekends and no on-call hours, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care to a diverse patient population.
- Maintain a Monday to Friday, day shift schedule with no weekends or on-call duties.
- Manage an average caseload of 18 patients per day in a facility with a total of 99 beds.
- Collaborate with a team of 2 psychiatrists and 3 advanced practice providers.
- Utilize Wellsky EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Engage in the treatment of various disorders, including anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, and more.
- Ensure familiarity with involuntary commitments and pharmacotherapy.
- Present patient care solutions and follow best practices in psychiatric treatment.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 0-5 years of residency) in Psychiatry.
- Active Delaware medical license or willingness to obtain one.
- Possess current DEA and CSR/CDS certificates, or willingness to obtain prior to start.
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality psychiatric care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry (Required).
- Delaware Medical License (Required).
- DEA (Required prior to start). No exemptions.
- CSR/CDS (Required prior to start). No exemptions.
- BLS certification (Required).
