Join Our Team as an Inpatient Psychiatrist in Georgetown, DE
SUN Behavioral Health Delaware is seeking a dedicated Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team in historic Georgetown, DE. This position offers a unique opportunity to work during the day with no call and no weekends, ensuring a balanced work-life experience.
Our facility is well-equipped with 99 beds and has a strong support staff including two psychiatrists and three advanced practice providers. The inpatient service provides care for various treatment disorders including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, eating disorders, personality disorders, developmental disorders, and psychotic disorders. The EMR system used is Wellsky, and familiarity with involuntary commitments and pharmacotherapy is a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care to a diverse patient population.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in the EMR system.
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
License and Certification Requirements
- DE medical license (or willing to obtain).
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain).
- DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
- CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start).
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
