**Psychiatry opening in NY**_x000D_ Located in Oswego, NY_x000D_ 35 miles to Syracuse, NY_x000D_ _x000D_ Mental Health & Wellness department is seeking a Medical Director._x000D_ _x000D_ Requirements: _x000D_ - Board certified/Board eligible_x000D_ - Minimum of 5-years clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry required _x000D_ - Proven leadership experience in a similar role _x000D_ - A strong understanding of evidence-based psychiatric practices and treatment modalities_x000D_ - Be a forward thinker and able to introduce innovative treatment modalities and stay abreast of emerging trends in psychiatry_x000D_ _x000D_ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:_x000D_ - Provide clinical oversight and leadership for both inpatient and outpatient mental health programs _x000D_ - Supervise psychiatrists and APPs in a 50% clinical and 50% administrative role_x000D_ - Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the quality and scope of mental health services._x000D_ - Contribute to the development, execution and evaluation of organizational mental health policies, procedures, expansion and improvement._x000D_ - Complete necessary legal procedures for interventions such as treatment over objection and court retention._x000D_ - Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and licensing requirements and collaborate with the compliance team to address any regulatory concerns._x000D_ - Support the ACT Team and outpatient clinics by assisting with clinical assessments and medication management as needed and act as a clinical resource for social workers, therapists, and other mental health professionals._x000D_ - Monitor and assess the effectiveness of mental health services through data analysis and performance metrics._x000D_ - Support psychiatric consults for ED, ICU, and Med/Surg unit as necessary._x000D_ - Facilitate rounds/discharge planning for inpatient unit._x000D_ - Participate in on-call rotation to support inpatient unit, as well as emergency department as assigned._x000D_ _x000D_ Compensation and Benefits (based on full time employment):_x000D_ - Highly competitive salary, plus quality incentives_x000D_ - Sign-on bonus and reimbursement for relocation and student loans (if applicable)_x000D_ - Competitive paid time off and CME time off_x000D_ - Comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 403B, life and disability_x000D_ - Annual CME, dues and licensure reimbursement_x000D_ - Malpractice_x000D_ _x000D_ Oswego, New York: _x000D_ Located in New York States Central region, Oswego offers small city living with close proximity to many large metropolitan areas.
