Locums Psychiatry Opening in Texas Located in Carlsbad, TX - 17 miles to San Angelo Start Date: ASAP Hours: 40/week; Monday-Friday (8A-5P) Assignment: 6-month minimum Medical Center Opened in 1969. The 1,031-acre living center is home to 138 people. Serves a 38-county area Job Description: The Lead Psychiatrist performs highly advanced psychiatric work under direct supervision of the SSLC Medical Director. Directs, oversees, and/or conducts the examination and diagnoses of patients, and administers psychiatric treatment and medication as needed. Administers specialized psychiatric treatments and/or procedures. Directs staff and provides leadership to ensure optimal quality psychiatric treatment services for the individuals entrusted to the care of the SSLC. Manages individuals medical record (paper chart/EHR). Attends work on a regular basis Monday Friday 8am to 5pm , no on call, no holidays, and no weekends. Job Requirements Must be licensed (unrestricted) as a medical doctor by the State of Texas and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry in the State of Texas. Must have current registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#) as defined by Medicare Part B About Carlsbad: Located along the North Concho River, Carlsbad was founded in 1907 under the name of Hughes.
