Rate: $275K-$280K plus 10% bonus

WHAT IS YOUR SUPERPOWER?

  • Conduct initial psychiatric assessments and follow-up care virtually, focusing on seniors with SMI, through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans, including medication management, psychotherapy referrals, and identifying health-related social needs (HRSN).
  • Work seamlessly within a team comprising psychiatry professionals (MD/DO/NP), primary care physicians, psychotherapists, community health workers, and care managers to address the holistic needs of patients.
  • Deliver care and education tailored to the patient's age, physical ability, educational level, and cultural background, engaging family members as necessary.
  • Provide supervision to a team of NPs and lead interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure patients’ psychiatric, medical, and social needs are met.
  • Actively participate in coordinating care with primary care physicians and other medical professionals involved in the patient's care.
  • Be readily available for psychiatric urgent care needs and comfortable ordering necessary laboratory and imaging workups.
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive documentation of clinical interactions in the electronic health record system.
  • Thrive in a new care delivery paradigm within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING:

  • Board-certified psychiatrist licensed to practice in Florida and/or Texas (licenses and accompanying DEAs required for each state).
  • Over five years of direct psychiatric care experience required; over seven years preferred. Experience with seniors, SMI, and dementia patients highly valued.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable working in a growing environment.
  • Experience working in a collaborative care model and on a multidisciplinary team is highly preferred.
  • Experience providing supervision to NPs highly preferred.
  • Comfortable managing patients with complex medical and psychosocial needs.
  • Full-time position, 40 hours/week (anticipating 25-30 hours/week of direct virtual patient care), with occasional on-call responsibilities.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to use a computer effectively.
  • Certified by the ABPN
You can work remotely from anywhere in the United States as long as you hold a Florida license and are certified by the ABPN.
