Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist Medical Director to join our staff.
Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. Job Description & Responsibilities
- A diverse psychiatric team of MDs, PMHNPs, and Therapists
- The Medical Director provides clinical and administrative leadership for the hospital’s Inpatient Psychiatry Service
- 14 bed acute Inpatient Psychiatry unit, consults to Med-Surg inpatients at several affiliate hospitals, and consults to the Emergency Departments
- Partners with nurse leaders to ensure the delivery of high quality acute care, focusing on evidence-based practice, measurable outcomes, patient experience, and affordable cost
- Partners with hospital leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and continual accreditation readiness
- Supervises all Inpatient physicians and advanced practice providers
- Ensures a supportive educational environment for learners
- Opportunity to incorporate telemedicine as a strategy in the area of rural health and affiliation development
- Call 1 in 5 weekdays or better and 1 weekend per month
- Integrated EPIC Electronic Health Record
- Bassett Medical Center is a designated National Health Services Corp Site
- Salary Range: $301,751 - $330,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
