Seeking BC Psychiatrist to join Behavioral Health team in Spring Valley, NY. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing treatment for various psychiatric disorders, participating in patient care, diagnosis, collaboration, and consultations.
Overview:
- 2 years experience working full-time as a psychiatrist in child/adult psychiatry required
- Assessing patients through interviews, observations, tests, and medical history reviews.
- Accurately diagnosing patients.
- Developing comprehensive treatment plans and prescribing medication as needed.
- Consulting with other medical professionals and psychologists.
- Regularly following up with patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
- Thoroughly documenting each patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medication, and treatment effectiveness.
- Providing emotional support and strategies to help patients manage their disorders.
- Researching new developments in psychiatry and mental health.
- Providing coverage for other providers after hours or during their absence.
- Complying with applicable policies and procedures, supporting the Compliance Program.
